The business is a partnership between Umelusi Capital (with a 51% stake) and ALUWANI Capital Partners (which holds 49%) and will offer products which include; fixed income funds, equities as well as solutions for investing in unlisted assets. The business aims to add value to the local economy through skills transfer, employment of locals and providing investment products that respond to the needs of local investors. This will be done by ensuring that over time, the local business builds up the right skills set among local investment professionals to reduce reliance on the South African entity. The business will be led by Thabo Magagula who is the owner of Umelusi Capital and a seasoned player in the Swazi financial services sector.
